This is a 6 week series, that meets Thursdays from 5-7. April 3rd,10th, 17th, skip the 24th. Then May 1st, 8th and 15th.

This is a 6 week class where you will learn to saw, pierce, file, sand and buff. You will learn multiple soldering techniques (hot joining), and hand riveting (cold joining). Various texturing techniques, and the inclusion of surface color, enameling, and fold forming will also be included.

Silver hoop earrings are always a classic! In this studio course, you will use sterling silver wires of various gauges to create a pair of earrings. Keep it simple, or add your unique touch! Ear wires will be provided or made with a small jig.

Copper has such a warm glow! In this class students will learn a variety of fold-form techniques and then use their favorites to create either a pair of earrings, or a cuff bracelet. By bending, folding, twisting and hammering the copper, many unique designs can be made. It is fun to take a flat sheet and turn it into a 3-D form.

How sweet is that! Wire wrapping and twisting isn't something I do often. However, I was so enamored with this process and the end results, I wanted to share! Expect to use wire, beads and pliers to twist a lovely bonsai style tree. We will then "plant" it in a base and add landscaping. Good for multiple ages and abilities.

In this studio course, you will be using a stained glass technique involving the use of copper foil, flux, and a soldering iron. Many broken china options are provided, but feel free to bring in something you may have from home. This is a nice class for multiple ages. Young students welcome with their adult!

Enamel is glass powder that is placed on either copper or fine silver and melted, either in a kiln or with a torch. First we will spend time designing and creating your earring base. Then we will use stencils, blockers, styling tools etc to create your desired look. Expect to leave the studio with two pairs of earrings.

Students will learn a variety of texturing techniques to apply on their 2 bangles. Hammer texture, and a rolling mill provide endless surface decorating options. After the texture is complete, the bracelets will be soldered closed, and finished with files, sandpaper and buffing wheel. Great beginner class with a stunning professional result!

Bold but casual, a unisex metal cuff never goes out of style! In this class, participants will select a copper or brass base metal. Texturing techniques will be covered in order to customize the design. A second contrasting metal will be selected, formed, and riveted in place.

In this class you will create one beaded mosaic necklace pendant. Don't want to wear it, no problem! Makes a lovely little gift, or place it in a frame to hang on the wall. I will provide a variety of shallow bezel designs for you to select from, and many beads to choose from. We will do a bit of arranging and designing before committing to the final look. Pendants will be ready to leave with you.

Personalize your home with "unique to you" light switch plates.
Enameling is the process of melting powdered glass (enamel) onto a piece of copper. I will provide a variety of switch plate designs/shapes to choose from. You show up with a color scheme. First we will practice on copper scrapes, learning the process and testing colors. Then you will customize two switch plates of your choosing. They will be ready to leave with you that day.
