This is a 6-week class where you will learn to saw, pierce, file, sand, and buff. You will learn multiple soldering techniques (hot joining), and hand riveting (cold joining). Various texturing techniques, and the inclusion of surface color, enameling, and fold forming will also be included.

In this class, you will create two mini pressed flower arrangements, encased in glass. The glass will then be foil wrapped and soldered closed, using a stained-glass technique.

Curious about soldering? Whether you’ve struggled with stubborn seams or want to explore more advanced soldering techniques, this hands-on class is your chance to level up! We’ll demystify the many forms of solder — wire, chip, paste, and even pick — while focusing on their uses with both copper and silver.
You’ll learn how to:
- Choose the right type and flow temperature of solder
- Use flux and understand oxidation differences between copper and silver
- Control heat for small, medium, and large joins
- Set up for success using sweat soldering, butt joints, and pick soldering
- Troubleshoot problems (like pits, gaps, and incomplete flows)
- Use paste solder for efficiency — when and how it's your best friend
- Apply finishing tips to clean up your joins beautifully
Come with curiosity and leave with confidence (and maybe a few small soldered projects too!).

In this class, you will create two beaded mosaic necklace pendants. Don't want to wear it? No problem! Makes a lovely little gift, or place it in a frame to hang on the wall. I will provide a variety of shallow bezel designs for you to select from, along with numerous beads to choose from. We will do some arranging and designing before committing to the final look. Pendants will be ready to leave with you.

How sweet is that! Wire wrapping and twisting isn't something I do often. However, I was so enamored with this process and the end results, I wanted to share! Expect to use wire, beads, and pliers to twist a lovely bonsai-style tree. We will then "plant" it in a base and add landscaping. Good for multiple ages and abilities.

Enamel is glass powder that is either torch-fired or kiln-melted to add color to fine silver or copper. We will create our earring shapes with either a punch or a shear. Once the earrings are made, you will add color by selecting transparent or opaque enamels. Expect to leave with two sets of earrings in copper.

In this playful yet skill-packed class, you’ll design a personalized pendant—choose your initials, a special date, or a meaningful word to stamp into metal. We’ll start by practicing our stamping and soldering techniques on copper (so no pressure while you warm up your skills), then move on to create your final piece in beautiful sterling silver.
You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind pendant, new jewelry-making know-how, and maybe even a shared laugh or two along the way. Perfect for beginners or anyone who loves meaningful, handmade jewelry.
This class will be taught by Adina Locketz, who is currently a student at UW-Madison studying art. Adina’s artistic focus is jewelry and metalsmithing. Adina is passionate about designing and creating jewelry, and is excited to be able to help others learn how to make wearable art.

Learn to bezel set a colorful piece of sea glass, stone, or china into a sterling silver ring. Colorful pieces will be provided, but if you have a special piece from home, please don't hesitate to bring it along. This studio course includes sawing, soldering, bezel and backplate forming, as well as stone setting. Beginning metalsmith skills are recommended, but not required.
