This class will be taught by Adina Locketz, who is currently a student at UW-Madison studying art. Adina’s artistic focus is jewelry and metalsmithing, and she is participating in a community involvement class that has paired her with Torn Edge Arts as a community partner. Adina is passionate about designing and creating jewelry, and is excited to be able to help others learn how to make wearable art.
Bring a friend and make it a creative night out! In this playful yet skill-packed class, you’ll design a personalized pendant—choose your initials, a special date, or a meaningful word to stamp into metal. We’ll start by practicing our stamping and soldering techniques on copper (so no pressure while you warm up your skills), then move on to create your final piece in beautiful sterling silver.
You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind pendant, new jewelry-making know-how, and maybe even a shared laugh or two along the way. Perfect for beginners or anyone who loves meaningful, handmade jewelry.
